I'm a front-end software developer, mainly using JavaScript (and increasingly TypeScript) for building products. Currently I'm focussing on React Native. I sometimes delve into Node.js for developing the back-end of personal projects. I'm a big fan of writing simple, functional code and using Unix's philosophy of small, modular, composable code to create microservices that do one thing well.
Outside work, I enjoy playing Nintendo games on the DS/3DS, Wii and Gameboy. I'd love to own a N64 at some point. I also enjoy running - follow me on Strava. I collect Beano and Dandy comics, annuals and merchandise (my collection of Beano annauls goes back to the 1960s, with a few from the 50s too). I'll get a good picture of my collection soon to put on here.
I live in West London (Uxbridge, so not really London) and work at TotallyMoney, based near Old Street tube station. In the future, I'd love to be a part of a small social-good startup who are striving to make significant differences to people's lives. I graduated from Brunel University London in July 2017 with 2:1 in Computer Science. I try to keep up with tech news, especially anything to do with Apple - The Verge, Daring Fireball, 9to5mac, Engadget and Ars Technica are my go-to publications to catchup on the latest and greatest gadgets and technology. I also read the articles posted on Hacker News. Finally, I enjoy watching football and support Manchester United!
